MTS launches special voucher for West Bengal
The special tariff voucher by MTS is for Rs 26 and it will allow subscribers to take advantage of lower call rates than usual. The voucher benefits cover flat discounts on on-net and off-net numbers. On-net calls refer to those made on the same service provider’s network.
The word ‘off-net’ is used to indicate that the person dialing the number and the one picking up their call are on different carriers. The rates for offnet local calls are fixed at 1.2 paise/3 seconds or 24 paise/minute, while onnet local calls within the two aforementioned circles cost 1.2 paise/6 seconds or 12 paise/minute.
On a side note, Tata Docomo Photon also had good news for customers in the city of Kolkata. It has been working on improving its network here and will now be able to begin delivering Internet at faster speeds. Those who’ve signed up for a Photon Max Wi-Fi Data Card can look forward to rates as fast as 9.8Mbps.

The MTS no roaming fees will be charged within India and current users of the service will automatically be upgraded to the faster network. Coming back to MTS, the company says that the special tariff voucher will have users paying much less for calls as pitted against rates by rival operators in the same two circles.
